Disability Trading Company offer a wide range of complimentary services to support the sale of new and refurbished equipment and scooters. We also provide services suitable for local business clients including access audits and a highly effective and professional training programme.

Servicing and repairs

Our purpose built mobility workshop is available to cater for your every need with fully trained staff on hand to carry out our services. Available services from our workshop include:

We also accept any donations of mobility equipment for our recycling project. You can also talk to us about our competitively priced servicing contracts.

Galleries Cafe

Here at our Centre for Independent Living you will find our Galleries Cafe, a pleasant place to stop for a rest and a bite. Have a hot cup of fresh coffee and a snack or a meal after you have explored the wide range of equipment available to try out in our shoprooms.

Donating Mobility Equipment

Here at The Disability Trading Company we accept donations of a wide range of mobility equipment that we Refurbish or Recycle, from Scooters & Electric wheelchairs, to walking frames & crutches. Some items can be refurbished and sold on at affordable prices, whilst others can be stripped of working parts and reused. Your generosity will help other disabled people. If you would like to donate any equipment please contact us and we will gladly collect it from you or you could bring it in yourself and enjoy a drink in the Galleries Cafe, or have a look around our vast showroom.

Disability and equality training

The Disability Trading Company offer fast, relevant and effective disability and equality training designed to meet your company's needs. Changing the way people think about disability is the best protection against discrimination occurring. We deliver sessions across the Northwest around Disability and Equality Training, Mental Health Awareness and Safeguarding and have delivered to small and large organisations.

Access Audits

Providing access for all is not just a good thing to do; it is a basic human right. We offer access audits that can be tailored to fit your organisation's needs and cover the needs of all disabled people from physical to sensory. They cover a wide range of areas from public transport to emergency egress.
