Mobility Workshop and Service Centre
Our purpose built workshop offers servicing, repairs, battery testing, refurbishments, parts, collections, deliveries and recycling services for most kinds of mobility products. Wherever possible a courtesy product will be loaned as a temporary replacement free of charge.
Wheelchair and Scooter Servicing
Our service engineers are here to help you stay mobile. To keep your mobility product in tip-top condition we recommend you have it serviced once a year. We're happy to look after your chair or scooter, even if you didn't buy it from us. And in some cases we can even come to your home to carry out the work. That way you don't have to be without it for too long or struggle to fit your own parts.
A full yearly service for a 4MPH scooter costs just £50 ex VAT. For 6MPH and 8MPH the cost is a reasonable £60 excluding VAT. All chairs are £50.
Our fully trained staff will complete the following on your mobility equipment:
- Full battery test with printed certificates
- Full clean
- Inspection of tyres
- Inspection of electrical connections
- Inspection of horn
- Inspection of lights (when fitted)
- Inspection of chassis
- Inspection of steering
- De-carbon motor
- Inspection of seat post and seat
- Lubricate parts and components where necessary
- Inspection of body work
If any additional work is needed, you will be notified of this and given a costing for the job before we carry out the work.
Wheelchair and Scooter Repairs
There is no job too big or too small at our Mobility Workshop and Service Centre. We can mend punctures, repair the body work and order and fit new parts as needed. A courtesy product may be offered free of charge if we have a suitable item available. Our repair prices are based on an average 1 hour service/repair, and our engineers will give you an estimate before they start so you know what kind of bill to expect. Repairs cost £30 per hour ex VAT + parts.
Contact us today to organise your repair or service by phoning 01925 240064 or email the workshop team
Collection and delivery
We can arrange to collect your wheelchair or scooter from you and return it when the repairs are completed, although there will be an additional cost for this, depending on how far you are from us. Contact us for a no-obligation estimate if you require this service. Wherever possible, a courtesy product will be loaned as a temporary replacement free of charge.
Wheelchair Battery Testing
You can have your batteries tested for free of charge, complete with certificate stating whether the batteries passed or failed. Once the test has been completed you will be contacted to inform you of the results and how much it would cost to replace the batteries if required. Batteries must be fully charged before the battery test is completed, or the results may not be accurate.
Wheelchair and Scooter Battery Prices (12 Volt)
We only use reputable battery brands. Our price includes the cost of fitting the battery, checking it is charging correctly, and safe disposal of the old battery. Batteries come with a minimum one year guarantee.
Wheelchair and Scooter Refurbishment
The Mobility Workshop and Service Centre accepts donations of unwanted mobility equipment and refurbishes the products to a high standard and then offers them for sale.
